Washington Ceasefire
Washington Ceasefire is a grass-roots organization formed in 1983 to reduce gun violence in Washington State through education, legislation and electoral politics. Among other accomplishments, Washington Ceasefire successfully lobbied to pass legislation banning firearms in schools and public buildings in Washington State and also led a fight to defeat a bill that would have gutted the state's concealed pistol law. Tom served as board president of Washington Ceasefire from 1995-2001.
